319 Maxwell - Lexington KY

According to Joe:

We get to town and call a guy named Mark who hooked up the show. We decided to park downtown - he has to go to a bank but later meets us at a drugstore soda fountain. Go over to show and park, then walk to record (cd) store. I found a used copy of Ramones Greatest Hits Live (which we had heard on tape all tour) so I bought it. Back to house - still early. The others leave in search of coffee. I hung around and then decided to go for a walk. Came back and looked at the show space. It was in the back of the house, and was separated as another apartment. Met the guy who lived there, an older dude who said that the was the only person allowed to drink or smoke in his apartment.

Opening band was called Rescue the Fallen. They were emo punk sort of. I liked them. They didn't have any cd's with them though. I thought we played a pretty good set. We were the only other band. Summer Melts Faster were actually not booked - a miscommunication. Kids at the show seemed cool. We made enough money to fill the tank to get us back to PA.

We wanted to drive a good ways out of town to find a cheap motel. Then we'd have that much less of a drive to Philadelphia the next day - which will be a long drive anyway. We got about 15 minutes away from the West Virginia border and stayed in another Days Inn.
