Day Off - No Venue

According to Joe:

We decided to go to the next town, Evansville, Indiana, and get a motel room, hopefully with a pool. We could have stuck around in Carbondale but decided against it. Steve slept somewhere in some bed I think, and Dandrew, Chris and Brian slept in the van. Their house option fell through.

We waited around for Steve to come back to the van, which was parked near the Amtrak station. We found out the Greyhound Bus, right across the street, went to Evansville every day for $41. We went to the Wal-Mart in the next town over for some Velcro. Steve called my cell while we were there so we went back to Carbondale to pick him up and drove through Kentucky to Indiana. Chris bought a pack of cigarettes called "Tough Guy Lights" at a stop in Kentucky.

In Evansville we went to the club and a coffeeshop nearby. Saw posters for tomorrow's show. Decided to drive the airport area and get a room at the Day's Inn. There was an indoor pool there which stayed open unitl 10 PM. We turned the a.c on and made the room very cold, the way it is in most stores in the south. The others went out for beers and Mad Dog wines. VH1's worst songs of all time on the tube.
