According to Joe:
Not a very long drive. We went straight to the house where we would stay - a house decorated with authenic 1950s furniture and fixtures in a nice neigborhood of Memphis. The house belongs to our hosts Adrienne and Carl. They're a wife and husband couple, originally from Philly - moved to Memphis three years ago. Adrienne booked the show for us at Murphy's and flyered the entire town.
To kill some time, we went to Sun Studios for the tour (that's where Elvis, Carl Perkins, Johnny Cash, and Jerry Lee Lewis first recorded back in the 1950s). We got a free tour, being that we were a touring band playing in Memphis. Was interesting.
Adrienne and Carl cooked us up a great pasta meal which we ate before going to Murphy's. At Murhpy's we were greeted by a guy who told us they were expected a great turnout.
In reality we got an okay turnout - not a great one, but not a bad one. Still, all the people at Murphy's, especially Tom the bartender, treated us like royalty. We played pool and put a bunch of songs on the jukebox until showtime. Played another good, long set.
After the show Chris and Steve got into a fight which alarmed the people at the bar. They thought Chris was going to throw Steve through the front window, but he did not. We all went back to Carl and Adrienne's to crash.
