Tampa FL - Green Room

According to Ceci:

After a long flight from philly I arrived at the howard johnson inn in
tampa florida around 6 pm.
knock knock
chris answered the door, looking sunburnt and confused , i had woken him up.
after he finished napping and we made up for lost time we emerged from the
room.   The boys were doing laundry, swimming in the pool and relaxing.
We walked to the store and baught 40's of OE.   The woman at the register
asked another associate if they took chris's id, ahhh its a
driverslicence!
they accepted the answer and the night began...
Around 10 we found out that the show was indeed on so about another hour
later we packed up in the van and drove the 6 miles to yebore city.
Setting the scene:   yebore city looks like old city with hundreds of
people flooding into the streets.   People that looked like they could be
my parents coleges, and they were trashed.   The streets were lined with
night clubs that were pulsating the walls of every building along the
"strip".   We found the green room and unloaded the van.   It was an outside
venue with an inside bar, very cool set up.   Chris and i took off to find
parking and there was none.   i saw some train tracks and bet him that
there would be parking if we crossed them, and there was.   Perfect.   So we
walked back to the club and started to use the drink tickets for $1.50
pabst.   yummy.   After some confusion of who was to play second the low
budgets took the stage, except for dandrew.   "where the hell is dandrew?!"
10 minutes later we find him, and now they are set.   They open up with No
Money Shot but quickly have to stop because the sound guy wasn't ready.
Once he got hit shit together they played a rockin set of 6 songs.   I
remember chris dedicated OE in the AM to me.   He's so sweet.   After
playing we continued to drink and watch protagonist play then the dead
popes.   It started to rain.   They continued to play and we loaded the van
and continued to drink.   Then went back to the hotel.   Chris, Dandrew,
Steve and I jumped the fince to the pool and went for a night swim.   It
was cold and chris soon got out, steve and i competed in underwater back
flips then saw lightning and got scared so we went back to the rooms,
watched tv, drank more, then crashed.

According to Joe:

Had breakfast with John and Brian from the Protagonists at the Clock then drove to Tampa where we checked into a HoJo's. There were two rooms reserved for us - one for Chris and his wife, Ceci who flew in from Philadelphia for the weekend, and one for the rest of us. Our rooms were courtside facing a swimming pool. Took a swim with Steve and Dandrew while they waited for their laundry to be done. Steve had an underwater headstand contest with another motel guest.

The Green Room is in Ybor City only a couple minutes from the motel. Recognized some faces there - John C. and Corey M. First band, the Invertebrats, were very young and classic punk like the Pistols / Ramones. They were amusing for about 3 songs but they played way too long. I thought they'd never end.

We played next. We launched into "No Money Shot", an instrumental, but in the second verse we lost power. The sound guy pulled the plug. He was trying to get our attention becuase he had not yet mic'd anything or turned on the monitors. Then I noticed that I did not even have a vocal mic. I also noticed that John C. was videotaping us, so I walked over to say hi. He asked me if it was okay if he videotaped the show and I said it looks like you already are. We chatted until the sound guy was ready. Then we played a 6-song set. We figured the opening band bored us all to tears. We didn't want to make the same mistake. Afterwards some people said they wished we'd played longer. But there were still two more bands. The Protagonists were good. The headliner, The Dead Popes, rocked but sadly a sudden downpour ensued just as their set started. The band was safe under a tarmac. I stayed dry under the merchandise kiosk. The clubgoers however getting drenched and scattered for cover. The Protagonists were kind enough to move our equipment under the tarmac so it would not get wet. Chris pulled up the van and we loaded up our gear then got back to HoJo's for some partying and sleep.

According to Brian:
