Gainesville FL - Eddie Cs

According to Joe:

Loaded into Eddie C's, a stand-alone concrete building on the outskirts of town, played a game of pool (Steve and I won) then did a sound check. Then played another game of pool. Eddie C himself invited us to his retaurant next door (The Pit) for some Bar-B-Que. He gave us each two "Eddie C Dollars" towards our meals. Food wasn't bad.

The sound guy told us that "50 Cents" is getting played on a local pirate radio station, and the promoter, Moe, told us that the show had a lot of "buzz". He played in the opening band, Padded Cell, who put on a funny show. They're a punk rock band whose schtick is they never rehearse and don't know how to end their songs, which are short and to the point. The other two bands, Suicide Bombs and No More, were good too - "tough acts to follow" in the words of Chris.

We took the stage at about 1 AM - by then all four of us were sufficiently drunk (one of the bartenders bought me shots of something orange and sweet). We played one of our typical short sets. Eddie C video'd the set and sold us a DVD of it for twenty bucks. We ended up staying at the Army of Panch house and watched the DVD there. Chris asked Eddie to use as many crazy wipes as he wanted (it was a three-camera shoot) and Eddie went wild with the effects. I passed out on the living room floor shortly after the DVD ended.

According to Brian:

Set List:
El Hombre de la Noche
Ripped Off
Sweet Tooth
Lawsuit
Born Before the Internet
50 cents
That Which Cannot Be Named(coinstar)
Rock n' Rollers(you can't control the)
